Customer Reviews
Good bags, easy to use
Got the Orca 25 panniers for my commute. They're pretty solid. Went on the bike rack quick, didn't wobble around. Took about a week to get here, which was fine. No complaints.
Metropolitan Pannier was a deal
I was looking for a good bag for my bike and found the Metropolitan Pannier on sale. It was 15% off, which made a difference. Shipping wasn't instant, but it arrived within the estimated time frame. The quality feels really good for what I paid. Happy with the purchase, definitely felt like I got my money's worth.
Detailed thoughts on GT-54s
I ordered a pair of GT-54 Grand Touring Panniers for an upcoming tour. The ordering process was straightforward on their website, pretty easy to navigate. Shipping took about 8 days to reach me in California, which was within the expected window. The panniers themselves are robust; the material feels durable, and the stitching looks solid. I especially liked the Cam-Lock mounting system; it attached to my rack without any fuss and felt very secure, no rattling even on rougher roads. I haven't needed customer support, so I can't speak to that, but the product quality and ease of use are excellent. They hold a lot of gear and seem truly ready for long trips. Overall, a positive experience.
Mostly good, one small issue
I bought the Dolphin Waterproof Panniers. The bags themselves are fantastic, truly waterproof as advertised, and the Cam-Lock system is very effective at keeping them on the bike. Delivery took about 9 days, which was a bit longer than I hoped, but not terrible. My only minor gripe was that one of the internal pockets felt a little flimsy compared to the rest of the bag's construction. It's a small thing, and it doesn't affect the main function, but it's an area they could maybe improve. Still, for durability and waterproofing, they're great.
Reliable as always
This was my third order from Arkel, and they didn't disappoint. I bought the Rollpacker Handlebar Bag this time, and just like my Orca panniers from a few years back, the build quality is top-notch. Their Cam-Lock system is still the best I've used, super secure. It's why I keep coming back, consistency is key for me. Delivery was standard, no surprises.

Just signed up for the newsletter, do they send a discount code right away or does it take a while?
Hey, wondering if anyone knows how long shipping usually takes if I order to Toronto? Need some new panniers before a trip next month.
Does Arkel ship to the US from their Canadian site, or do I need to find a US distributor?
Thinking of grabbing some Arkel bags, but how do they stack up against Ortlieb? Everyone always talks about Ortlieb.
What's the deal with returns? Is it a hassle if I need to send something back?
